About.

Archco Architecture is an architectural design studio founded by multi-award-winning designers Gareth Ritchie and James Davidson. Our studio is at 82 Oxford Terrace in central Christchurch, and we design throughout New Zealand, creating thoughtful, practical architecture across residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Archco began in Rangiora, and North Canterbury is still where much of our work is. Moving to the central city puts us at the heart of Canterbury, and within easy reach of clients across the South Island and beyond. We believe every project should respond to its site, its purpose, and the people who use it. Our approach combines strong design thinking with practical problem solving, creating spaces that are both visually engaging and highly functional. From compact homes and rural retreats through to large-scale commercial and industrial developments, we bring the same level of care, precision and attention to detail to every project.
